Bollywood diva Shilpa Shetty, who will soon turn fifty, is one of the fittest actors in the industry. Shilpa is an ardent advocate of eating healthy food and maintaining fitness. The actor, who hardly looks her age, has attributed her fit body and chiselled features to well-balanced meals, consistent workouts and healthy habits. In a recent video shared on social media, Shilpa shares her wisdom about what health is. Shilpa says that health denotes the beautiful connection between a person and his/her body. She added that to be healthy, there should be a balance between how much one eats and the rate of body movements.

'You will give up on dieting'
Most people begin to follow fad diets hoping to see a sudden transformation in their body. However, Shilpa opines they will soon give up dieting as they won't be able to bring consistency into their routine. So, Shilpa bats for consistency and discipline in life rather than dieting. “Everyone knows there is no point in starving yourselves. You could mould your body by caring for what you eat and exercising regularly. The body needs good maintenance and not dieting. More than inspiration, you need discipline. Moreover, it is important to develop good habits rather than restricting yourself. Your health is in your hands. So, instead of just wishing for good health, you need to put in some effort,” says Shilpa.
