It is no big secret that working out daily can ensure physical and mental fitness. However, most people complain that they are unable to exercise regularly due to their busy schedules. Meanwhile, researchers at the Washington University School of Medicine have developed a substance that could offer medicinal alternatives for exercising.
The researchers were able to develop the substance called SLU – PP – 332 after conducting decade-long extensive experiments in rats. These substances mainly target the proteins called estrogen-related receptors (ERR). The researchers say that effective treatment for obesity, heart attacks and kidney-related issues due to old age could be developed using this method of targeting the ERR.
The report says that even though SLU – PP – 332 cannot enter the brain, this is possible for a few newly developed substances which may help researchers find solutions to many nervous disorders like Alzheimer’s. If SLU – PP – 332 can replicate the benefits of exercises in the cells of rats and become successful in humans, then it will be a significant milestone in the field of health care. The findings of the research were presented at the spring meeting of the American Chemical Society.
