Arun’s dream dwelling in Majeri, Malappuram is as cosy and warm as a luxury holiday destination. The family wanted their home to be the best place to relax after a day of hectic work. They insisted that the house should have all the amenities that offered them comfort. Noted architect Asar Juman deserves credit for designing such a beautiful and contemporary abode that caters to the likes and needs of the family members.

The contemporary box-style elevation is incredibly chic. Meanwhile, the curvilinear roof never fails to attract attention. The walls don the graceful colour theme of white and grey. Interestingly, this colour theme is followed in the compound wall and gate too. Natural stones and grass have been paved in alternate layers on the driveway and the front yard. Besides, this is continued in the car porch too, adding a neat look to the entrance area.

Designed in 5300 sqft, this splendid mansion has a car porch, sit-out, formal and family living area, dining space, kitchen with an adjacent work area, two bedrooms and a swimming pool on the ground floor. Meanwhile, the upper floor has two more bedrooms, a home theatre, a living area and balcony.

The main gate is on the side; besides, there is a wicket gate in the front too. So, the house dons unique looks on both sides.

The formal living area is arranged just beside the entrance area to ensure enough privacy. The walls here are adorned with attractive wallpapers while the wooden flooring adds a luxurious ambience. The dining area has been arranged as part of the open hall. Vitrified tiles have been paved on the floor here. Half of the furniture pieces are custom made while the rest of them are ready made.

The staircase is close to the dining area. The minimal design of the staircase is quite interesting as it doesn’t take too much space. Wood and glass panelling has been done on a metal frame to build the stairway. The quaint area beneath the stairway has been turned into a cosy sitting space by paving synthetic grass. The pantry counter of the open kitchen is close to this. A few high chairs have been arranged here to complete the look.

The swimming pool is the highlight of this house. Interestingly, the pool area is arranged in an enclosed space making it a comfortable spot to unwind. The sliding glass door in the family living area opens to the pool area. Meanwhile, one could enter this space from the dining area too, through a folding glass door. You could enjoy privacy inside the house if these doors are closed and curtains are drawn.

The metal tube ceiling to grow vines is an interesting feature as it would create a green canopy over the swimming pool. One could catch a glimpse of the pool area from the balcony too.

The kitchen cabinets are done in plywood with a laminate finish. The countertop, meanwhile, has been paved with nano white. An adjacent work area completes the modern kitchen area.

The bedrooms are as cosy and luxurious as a swanky resort. Designer elements like false ceilings, LED light fittings and wooden panelling grant a glorious charm to the bedrooms. Besides attached bathrooms, these rooms have wardrobes for storage, separate dressing spaces, a TV unit and a sitting space.
