Baby, a native of Mala near Thrissur, Kerala, can’t stop talking about his brand new house which beautifully stands in the middle of lush greenery and mesmerizing nature. He was determined not to cut down the trees in the 13 cents plot when the construction of the house had begun. The contemporary style house was built by retaining an old coconut tree that stood in the front yard.
The walkway is separated by paving slabs of hard rocks on the green meadows. The beige hue on the exterior walls adds an elegant contrast to the beautiful greenery around. The claddings on it enhance the overall look of the charming house. Small patches of pleasant greenery are arranged at various spots around the house. The windows in the rooms open to the beautiful view of these gardens.
The family wanted the interiors to be filled with lots of natural light and fresh air. So, walls between the spaces were avoided and the interiors are designed in the open style. Living and dining areas, kitchen and four bedrooms are brilliantly arranged in this beautiful house which has an area of 2755 sq ft. It is the uniquely designed lighting, flooring and paintings which separate spaces.
The prayer area is elegantly arranged between the living and dining areas. A wooden paneling is installed to highlight the prayer area. The courtyard in front of the prayer area plays a significant role in filling the interiors with great positive energy. The handrails of the stair way are done using CNC cutting boards.
The open kitchen has all the modern facilities. A wall beside the dining table is decorated with wall paper. The unique design in which a wall has been separated for storage, in the dining area, stands out for its elegance and charm.
Comfort has been given priority while designing the bedrooms. The walls behind the headboards are highlighted. Wardrobe facilities and dressing areas too are arranged in the bedrooms.
The presence of trees, plants and lush greenery add a scintillating charm to this contemporary house which fills it with grace and positive energy.
