The family decided to renovate the single-storey house, which had only two bedrooms, when the space constraints began to bother them. Besides, there weren’t enough air circulation or facilities which let in natural light. The 2800 sqft house stands in a 14 cents plot in Manjeri, Malappuram. The newly renovated house looks elegant and chic with all the modern facilities.

A part of the elevation has been highlighted in orange, and adds a charm to the side view of the house. Tress work was done on the roof of the old house; this was removed to build an extra floor as well. The tress work on the roof and the stairway in the renovated house are done in wood.
