Four make-up articles for the working woman

Jaanmoni Das is no stranger when it comes to talking about make-up. This Assamese make-up artist is one of the most sought after people in the Malayalam movie industry. Her client list includes Amala Paul, Ranjini Haridas, Manju Warrier, Rima Kallingal, Shwetha Menon.

Jaanmoni sticks to the age old principle that 'the first impression is the best impression.'

In a freewheeling chat with onmanorama Jaanmoni Das tells us that no woman should be leaving her home without these four make-up articles in her handbag:

a) Kajal: According to Jaanu, Kajal is the perfect camouflage. It lights up your face, no matter how tired or stressed out you truly are.

b) Lipstick: A dark shade like red or organge could be useful too. If you wish to look brighter and more 'alive' you could consider a peach lipstick as well.

c) Mascara: A 'pocket' mascara also helps highlight your eyes.

d) White pencil and moisturiser: A combination of the two can help hide those odd patches on your face making you look fresh and appealing.
