Keerthy wore a silk sari belonging to her mother, Menaka, a sari that is 30 years old. This made the special day even more meaningful. Renowned designer Anita Dongre helped give the beautiful, vintage sari a modern touch. She incorporated silver and red accents, enhancing its elegance. The sari was paired with a blouse featuring a round neck, half sleeves, and a stylish back cut-out, beautifully blending traditional and modern styles.
Initially, Keerthy planned to wear a sari provided by the groom's family. However, while browsing through her mother's wardrobe, she spotted this red sari. She was particularly impressed by how well her mother had preserved this exquisite garment. This is why she chose to wear this auspicious crimson sari while sitting before the Homakunda (the sacred fire) during the wedding ceremony.
The sari featured silver thread-woven flowers and embroidery, adding to its charm. Traditional jewellery further enhanced Keerthy's look. She purchased her wedding jewellery from a renowned, heritage jeweller in Chennai. The necklace, waist belt (Arapattu), Vanki (a type of South Indian bangle), armlets, antique necklaces and bangles, and jasmine flowers all contributed to Keerthy's traditional South Indian bridal look, making it unforgettable.
