Indian models dazzling at international fashion events is not very uncommon now. However, Ravleen Varghese, who will be participating in New York Fashion Week is bringing in a lot of excitement to her native place, Kodumon, which is a silent and lush green village tucked away into serenity in the district of Pathanamthitta in Kerala, India.

Along with London, Paris and Milan, New York Fashion Week is part of 'Big Four', which makes for the biggest fashion events in the world. Next Management has brought Ravleen, who models for international brands like Dior, Loewe, Out House, Benefit, Ounass, Mary Claire, and Pomellato, to New York Fashion Week.

She has graced the covers of Harper's Bazaar and the fashion pages of Elle Magazine. Her photographs have been published in Vogue, Mojeh, Cosmopolitan, and Grazia magazines. She is the daughter of Binu and Shaila Varghese. The Punjabi name of this 5'11.5" tall woman means 'one who spreads sunshine'.

The current New York Fashion Week (NYFW), underway from September 7 to 12 promises to be a thrilling event, with a focus on sustainability, diversity, and innovative designs.

Started by Eleanor Lambert, a fashion publicist, in 1943, the event was initially called 'Press Week,' and was created to distract attention from French fashion during World War II. The event typically features over 100 designers and brands.

It is a semi-annual event that takes place in February and September, showcasing the latest fashion trends and styles for the upcoming season and is one of the most prestigious fashion weeks in the world.
