The Ambani family has been setting major fashion goals with their fabulous choices of haute couture since the commencement of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding celebrations. From the flamboyant ambience to regal costumes, the series of events in connection with the wedding was marked for their grandeur.
Meanwhile, what is still fresh in the talk of the town is how Isha Ambani Piramal garnered attention for the ‘special’ sari that she had worn for the sangeet ceremony.
Even though Isha donned three custom-made designer outfits for the event, it was the breathtaking sari in electric blue and silver hue that won everyone’s hearts. Isha wore a customized sari from the famous Italian luxury label Schiaparelli, designed by its creative director Daniel Roseberry. Interestingly, this was the first time that the ace couturier designed a sari.
Meanwhile, the Ambani heiress paired the single-shade sari with a contrasting silver structured blouse. The blouse adorned with crystals and shiny sequences added glamour to the outfit. It was celebrity stylist Anaita Shroff who styled Isha in this enchanting couture piece. For accessories, Isha wore a double-layered diamond necklace, matching stud earrings and a square-shaped diamond maang tikka.
She kept her makeup simple to accentuate her outfit. The pictures of Isha wearing the customized Schiaparelli sari has become viral on social media. Netizens commented that Isha looked resplendent and was a royal princess in the electric blue sari. Many say that it wouldn’t be a surprise if Isha drew more attention, than the bride herself, with her excellent sartorial choices. Besides the Schiaparelli sari, Isha also wore custom-made lehengas designed by Falguni and Shane Peacock, and Manish Malhotra for the sangeet.
Even though Isha’s sari was the first one designed by designer Daniel Roseberry, this is not the first sari from the house of Schiaparelli. The founder of the couture house, Elsa Schiaparelli had designed saris in 1935. Elsa had prepared a collection of designer saris, inspired by the saris worn by the Maharani Sita Devi of Kapurthala.
