Most people prefer building their dream dwellings by strictly adhering to the rules of the vastusastra. However, many complain that they do not enjoy good fortune or experience hurdles in life and lack of peace, despite building their houses as per the vastu rules. Vastu experts say that in some circumstances it might be certain objects in the house that exudes the negative energy.
Walk around the house to see whether wooden planks, bricks, tile pieces or sand bags are kept closer to the walls. It is not right to place the remaining materials from the construction closer to the walls of the house.
Growing thorny plants except the roses could fill the house with negative energy. Though cacti could be grown during the time of the construction to ward off evil eyes, it should be removed when you move into the house.
You may experience problems if the locks or latches of doors, windows or safes do not work properly.
Do not store damaged or broken objects in the house. It is better to throw away broken objects no matter how expensive they are. Similarly, replace a broken tap from which water leaks as droplets.
Make sure to keep the north east and the south west sides of the house always clean. The very center of the house is called the brahmasthanam. As per the vastu rules, the bramasthanam should be left vacant.
