Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly were teammates and played a huge role in many of Indian cricket team's memorable wins in the past. Now, Sachin and Dada will lock horns in the final of the Indian Super League (ISL) football tournament to be held in Kochi on Sunday. In fact this will be the second time in the brief three-year history of the tournament that the two legends will be battling it out from the stands in the title clash.
Sachin co-owned Blasters edged out Delhi Dynamos 3-0 on penalties on Wednesday to set up a repeat of the inaugural edition of the ISL when Kolkata, co-owned by Ganguly, pipped Blasters 1-0 in the final in Mumbai.

However, this time around Sachin and the loyal fans of Blasters will be hoping to avenge their defeat and win the championship for the first time. Mohammed Rafique, who netted Kolkata's winner in the 2014 final, will be up against his former club in Sunday's final. It was Rafique who scored the winning penalty for Blasters against Delhi in the semifinals.
Blasters have been on a roll at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi having notched up six wins on the trot. They have suffered a lone defeat in Kochi this season and that was against Kolkata in their opening home match. Come Sunday, Blasters will be keen to set the record straight.
