It was great to see Kerala Blasters playing as a cohesive unit against Mumbai City FC in their third match in the Indian Super League (ISL) on Sunday.

Compared to their first two outings, they played really well. It was disappointing that they had to settle for another draw on their home turf.

The goal scored by Sifneos was really a clinical finish. Rino’s cross from the right flank was accurate and controlled. The pass from Berbatov in the build-up showed his class and experience.

In fact, Berbatov’s exceptional passing skills were on display in this match. In the midfield, Jackichand Singh too worked tirelessly.

For the first time in the season, Blasters’ midfield and the forward lineup got their act together. The defenders too put up a solid performance as in the previous matches.

The defense was caught napping only once in the entire match. But they paid a hefty price for that mistake!
