Rostov-on-Don: Luis Suarez scored the winner as Uruguay edged out Saudi Arabia 1-0 in a Group A game to enter the FIFA World Cup knockout phase along with hosts Russia.
Barcelona forward Suarez tapped home the winner off a corner-kick in the 23 minute.
Saudi Arabia, who were outclassed 5-0 by Russia in the opening match, put in a vastly improved performance, but their second loss on the trot meant it was the end of the road for the Gulf kingdom as well as Egypt.
