Another year is at our doorstep and the world of fashion is maturing to yet another phase in all walks and folks. Adding color to the fashion forecast, global trendsetters are up with their predictions regarding colors set to rule the fashion arena in the upcoming year.
The globally acclaimed proprietary color space 'Pantone' has released a list of ten colors which they foresee to dominate the trends of 2017. Having chosen the color theme of the year as 'Greenery', Pantone has set Niagra, Primrose yellow and Lapiz blue in the top-three list.
'Greenery' is very much connected to the 'go green' campaign which has gained relevance over the years. It acknowledges the ever expanding desire to connect and reconnect with nature and greenness. While the color theme reportedly addresses the divided socio – political landscape across countries, it never ceases to relate with the peace propaganda, international fraternity and the supreme sense of ever-greenness in fashion.
Niagara is that rough-and-tough denim blue with a striking attitude and sheer capacity to blend with all other color shades. Niagara goes both independently and combined with other colors giving the wearer a level of confidence and comfort. Niagara denim jackets, stripped trousers and hats are predicted to rule the trends of 2017.
Known as sunlight-yellow, primrose is the strikingly happy light yellowish shade that is expected to mark a change in the fashion world this year. Several famous designers have already started blending primrose yellow in their master designs. A shade far forgotten or unveiled yet, the wide wings of primrose yellow is all set to prove its might in 2017.
Lapiz blue, on the other hand, is a rather silent color. It holds back from shouting out its relevance. If unleashed, this powerful shade can narrate stories of vitality, inner radiance and strength. Lapiz blue is one anchoring color, for that matter. Assertive, it brings in enough drama, fun and fashion on the wearers.
Decor trends also would witness a vital change in 2017. Homes and interiors would experience a makeover in the upcoming year, corresponding to the tremendous changes in people's choices, preferences and boredom of cliches. Experts say that blue-green combo is out to mark a bold twist this year. When 'dusky blue' is looked forward to rule interiors with its sheer elegance, lighter blue-green is hoped to dominate the confident palette.
Mineral gray would brush up the colonial reminiscence in fashion preferences while earthy green would marry taupe beige to revolutionize the decor trends.
