Many believe that they have a warming effect on our bodies during winter and sharing them with loved ones brings good luck. Here's how to prepare a plate of easy white sesame laddoos.
Ingredients
1 cup white sesame seeds
1 cup grated jaggery
2 tbsp ghee
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
Chopped nuts for garnish (optional)
Preparation
In a pan, dry roast the white sesame seeds on low heat
Once they turn golden brown, set aside
Add ghee and melt it in the same pan
Add grated jaggery to it
Keep stirring on low heat till the jaggery becomes syrupy
Once the jaggery is syrupy, add roasted sesame seeds and cardamom powder, and mix everything well
Let the mixture cool slightly so that you can handle it
Grease your hands with ghee and shape the mix into laddoos
Once the laddoos are cool, store them in airtight containers
