Mayonnaise adds taste to a whole variety of foods- sandwiches, shawarma, burgers, salads and more. However, it is not often deemed healthy as regular consumption is connected to cardiovascular issues. As mayonnaise contains a high level of Omega-6 fatty acids, it will also cause blood pressure to shoot up.

Over-consumption of mayonnaise also raises the spectrum of various diseases including cardiac arrests and stroke.

But then, you have the option of preparing a tasty and healthy mayonnaise at your home. Even if no egg or any preservatives are added, it can be creamy and can be made in a flash. All vegetarians and those who look for lighter diets can give it an occasional try.

Ingredients
½ cup milk
½ teaspoon mustard powder
¼ teaspoon pepper powder
½ teaspoon sugar
½ teaspoon salt
1 tsp vinegar
1/2 cup vegetable oil + 2 tsp vegetable oil

Preparation
Beat the milk, mustard powder, pepper powder, sugar and salt with 1/2 cup of vegetable oil in a mixer
Pulse it 10 times to thicken the mix
Add 2 teaspoon oil and 1 teaspoon vinegar to this
Pulse it again, till it thickens, adding vinegar and oil

To make it even tastier and healthier, you may add a few more items to it
Take a blender and put three teaspoons of coriander leaves, three teaspoons of mint leaves, one-inch piece of ginger, and one chilly
Add water as required and beat well
Take two tablespoons of the mix and add it to three tablespoons of the egg-less mayonnaise
Enjoy the luscious intensity of mayonnaise with a tinge of flavour
