Anything made of butter can often be delicious till the last bite. Not many desserts can match the comfy goodness of the traditional butter pudding, that is quite soft, as well. There are many variations of butter puddings across the world. Here we bring you a simple version that can warm the cockles of your heart.
Ingredients
2 cups milk
¼ cup milk powder
100 gms butter
2 tbsp custard powder
8 gms China grass
3 bread slices
2 tbsp crumbled pistachios
Preparation
Soak and melt the China grass for at least ten minutes
Meanwhile, in a sauce pan boil milk, custard powder, milk powder and sugar
Stir continuously on low flame without forming any lumps
Add butter when the milk – custard mix begins to boil
Boil the melted China grass and pour into the butter – custard mix while hot
Mix well
Into this hot mixture add the bread slices (cut off the edges)
Push the bread slices using a spoon so that they would be nicely soaked in the thick mixture
Mix well and turn off the flame
After it has cooled down, blend this in a mixer jar
Pour his into a pudding tray
Garnish with crumbled pistachio when the mixture hardens
Now keep the pudding in the fridge for at least four hours
After the pudding is nicely set, cut into small pieces and serve.
