Just be smart and turn it into a delicious evening snack, adding a few other easily available ingredients at home. This jackfruit neyyada can be a sweet relish with your evening tea or even a meal in itself for kids who are fussy eaters. Here's the recipe.

Ingredients
6 – 7 ripe jackfruit bulbs
2 eggs
2 tbsp sugar
½ tsp cardamom powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ cup all purpose flour
1 + ¼ cup milk
3 tbsp cooked vermicelli
2 tsp sugar
3 tbsp ghee

Preparation
Cut the jackfruit bulbs into small pieces
Take all purpose flour, 1 cup milk, and 1 tsp sugar in a mixer jar
Blend well into loose batter
Pour this into another bowl
Add cooked vermicelli into this
Meanwhile, blend the eggs, turmeric powder, cardamom powder and two tbsp sugar in mixer jar
Into it add the jackfruit pieces
Blend well
Heat a vessel that has been greased with ghee in a steamer
Pour a ladle full of the all purpose flour batter
Steam for forty minutes
Now add the egg mixture
Steam for fifty minutes
Spread ghee on top of the egg layer
Repeat the layers
After the neyyada is cooked well, decorate with cashews
Cut into pieces only after it has cooled down.
