From time to time, Malayali's favourite ubiquitous flatbread porotta is accused of being unhealthy. Regardless, we love it, especially when it teams up with beef curry. Our love for porotta has even urged many to come up with different varieties of the dish. If you are in the mood to try porotta without eggs, try this sweet milk porotta. Here's the recipe:

Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour
¼ tsp baking soda
2 tbsp yoghurt
Luke warm milk (to mix the dough)
¼ tsp salt

Preparation
Mix the all purpose flour with salt and baking soda
Into it add yoghurt and milk
Mix well
Close the lid and keep aside for the dough to soften
Make small balls, spread into thin sheets using fingers by adding oil
Make the sheets into pleats and roll them
Keep them aside for 15 minutes
Roll these porotta
Heat oil in a pan
Cook until both sides are cooked well
Prepare a stack of four or five porottas
Beat these using both the hands to separate the layers
Enjoy the milk porotta while they are hot.
