Ingredients
500gm tender mutton ribs
½ cup water
¼ cup vegetable oil
¾ cup chopped onion
2 tsp garlic paste
2 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp chilli powder
½ tsp pepper powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
4 tsp lemon juice
1 inch piece of cinnamon
½ tsp cumin seeds
2 cloves
2 cardamom pods
Salt, as required
Preparation
Boil water and add salt to it
Add the mutton ribs and cook with the lid on
In another pan, heat ¼ cup vegetable oil
Add chopped onion and saute well
Once they turn a deep brown, add garlic paste
Follow it up with ginger paste
Fry to a golden colour
Mix chilli powder, pepper powder and turmeric powder with a little water
Add it to the pan
Strain cooked mutton and pour that water to the sauteed onion mix
Add the boiled mutton pieces to the pan and blend well
Add 4 tsp lemon juice mixed with some water
Cook on low flame for ten minutes with the lid on
Powder cinnamon, cumin seeds, cloves and cardamom pod
Sprinkle this powder on the cooked mutton chops, mix well
Once the raw smell of the spices are gone, turn off the stove
Garnish the dish and serve hot
