Ingredients
1 cup jackfruit pulp
1 cup raw rice
1 cup crushed jaggery
¼ cup grated coconut
4 cardamom pods
2-3 tbsp water
¼ tsp sesame seeds
¼ tsp dried ginger powder
2 tbsp wheat powder
Ghee or oil as required
Preparation
Wash the raw rice and soak for at least 2 hours
Blend the jackfruit pulp with 2 tbsp water in a mixer jar
Add jaggery, grated coconut and wheat powder
Blend well
Add sesame seeds and dried ginger powder into the batter
Mix well
Heat oil in an unniyappam vessel
Pour the batter into the holes
Flip the unniyappam when one side is cooked
Enjoy the delicious jackfruit unniyappam with evening tea.
