Ingredients
Millet appam
1 cup millet powder
¼ cup boiled rice
½ cup grated coconut
1 tbsp sugar
Salt as required
Water as required
Preparation
Mix the millet powder by adding water
Add the remaining ingredients
Blend well in a mixer jar
Allow the batter to rise overnight
Next morning, prepare appam in your regular vellayappam chatti.
Potato stew
Ingredients
¼ kg potatoes
1 onion
2 green chillies
1 small piece of ginger
Coconut milk (1/2 coconut)
Curry leaves
1 tsp coconut oil
Salt as required
Preparation
Cook all the ingredients in the second extract of coconut milk
When the gravy boils, add the first extract
Turn off the flame before it bubbles up
Sprinkle coconut oil and curry leaves
Enjoy millet appam with potato stew.
