Kids love noodles and are thrilled to fill their tummies with delicious noodle dishes. However, most store-bought noodles are loaded with preservatives that could be harmful. Here is the recipe of tasty and healthy wheat noodles.

Ingredients
1 cup wheat flour
1 egg
1 tbsp refined oil
½ tsp salt
3 -4 tbsp hot water
For the masala
Cooked noodles
2 tbsp refined oil
1 tbsp chopped garlic
½ cup bell pepper (sliced)
½ cup carrot (sliced)
½ cup spring onion
½ tbsp dried chilli flakes
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp chilli sauce
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
Salt as required

Preparation
Mix oil and salt into the wheat flour nicely using your fingers
Add beaten egg and hot water
Mix well into soft dough
Make four balls from it
Roll the balls into thin sheets
Cut them into strips
Sprinkle some wheat flour on top of the strings before separating them
Boil water
Add the noodles when the water boils rapidly
Cook for 5 minutes
When the noodles are cooked, scoop out and strain
Run the noodles under warm water to stop cooking
Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan
Sauté the garlic
Add onion, green chillies, bell pepper, carrot and half of spring onion’
Sauté well
When the veggies begin to change colour add the chilli flakes, soy sauce, chilli sauce and tomato ketchup
Mix well
Finally add the cooked noodles
Add salt if required
Garnish with spring onion
Turn off the flame when all the noodle strings are nicely coated in the sauce.
