Diwali special Mysore pak

Mysore pak is an iconic sweet meat of the ancient city of Mysuru. However, the extremely delicious dessert is enjoyed by sweet lovers for its rich flavor of fresh ghee and soft texture. It is one of the popular sweets that are exchanged during the Diwali festival. Here is how you could make Mysore pak at home using milk powder.

Ingredients
1 cup milk powder
1 tbsp all purpose flour
2 cups sugar
¾ cup water
1 ½ cups ghee

Preparation
Melt the ghee
Meanwhile, mix milk powder and all purpose flour in a big bowl
Into it add the melted ghee
Mix well
Prepare sugar syrup by melting sugar in water until it reaches one string consistency
Add the milk powder mixture into the sugar syrup
Mix well
Add 1/3rd of the remaining 1 cup ghee
Keep stirring on low flame
Add the remaining 1/3rd when the Mysore pak has absorbed all the ghee
Keep stirring until it turns brown in color
Add the rest of the ghee too
Mix well and turn off the flame
Pour this mixture into a greased tray
Keep it aside for at least an hour for the Mysore pak to set
Cut the Mysore pak into small pieces after it has cooled down.
