Try these tasty sweets for Diwali

Kids usually are hesitant to try dishes made with healthier ingredients like mung bean or wheat. You could easily disguise these ingredients in some tasty and healthy sweets that are served for Diwali. Check out the recipes of 3 Diwali sweets that are tasty and extremely easy to make.

Mung bean laddoo
Ingredients

1 cup mung bean
¼ cup sugar
1 tsp cardamom powder
¼ cup ghee
Preparation
Dry roast the green gram
Grind them into fine powder
Mix this with powdered sugar and cardamom powder
Add ghee slowly until the mixture has the right consistency
Make laddoo balls from this.

Wheat halwa
Ingredients
¼ cup wheat flour
¼ cup ghee
1 cup jaggery
¾ cup water
1 tsp cardamom powder
Palm full of nuts

Preparation
Melt and strain the jaggery
Heat ghee in a pan
Add wheat flour and roast
Into it add jaggery syrup, cardamom powder and nuts
Roast nicely
Transfer it into a vessel that has been greased with ghee
Cut into small pieces when the halwa cools down and sets.

Semolina burfi
Ingredients
1 cup semolina
¼ cup ghee
¼ cup grated coconut
2 ¼ cups milk
Saffron strands
Palm full of nuts
1 cup sugar

Preparation
Lightly roast the semolina in ghee
Add grated coconut and roast nicely
Meanwhile, boil the milk
Mix saffron in 2 tbsp milk
Add the roasted semolina into the boiled milk
Add the sugar too
Mix well
Finally, add the saffron milk
Garnish with nuts
Allow the barfi to set before cutting it into small pieces.
