Ingredients
Palm full of mukkutti or biophytum sensitivum
½ cup raw rice
½ cup grated coconut
1 cup melted jaggery
½ tsp cumin
1 tbsp ghee
2 shallots
Preparations
Soak the raw rice for at least 4 hours
Grind the soaked raw rice with coconut and washed mukkutti into fine paste
Take this paste in a thick bottomed vessel
Add jaggery syrup too
Boil until it thickens up
Add cumin powder
Mix well and turn off the flame
Meanwhile, heat ghee in another pan
Saute the shallots
Add this into the kurrukku or porridge
Enjoy the tasty mukkutti porridge.
