Egg masala dosa is a tasty and filling meal that is fairly easy to prepare too. Check out the recipe.
Ingredients
3 eggs
2 tbsp coconut oil
¼ tsp cumin seeds
1 big onion
1 green chilli
1 tbsp ginger - garlic paste
½ tsp chilli powder
½ tsp coriander powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
¼ tsp garam masala
¼ tsp pepper powder
1 tbsp coriander leaves
1 tomato
Salt as required
Dosa batter
Preparation
Heat coconut oil in a pan
Sauté cumin, onion and green chilli
Into it add ginger - garlic paste
Sauté well
Add chili powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder
Sauté until the raw smell of the powders is gone
Now add the tomato
Cook for 3 -4 minutes with the lid on
Meanwhile, beat the eggs with garam masala, salt and pepper
When the tomato is nice and mushy, add the beaten eggs
Add chopped coriander leaves too
Mix and scramble the eggs
Turn off the flame when the water is completely reduced
Grease a hot tawa with some oil or ghee
Pour a ladle full of dosa batter and spread thinly
Sprinkle a teaspoon of oil or ghee when the dosa begins to set
Allow the dosa to get crispy
Now spread 2 tbsp egg filling on one side of the cooked dosa
Fold the dosa and take it off the pan
Enjoy the crispy egg masala dosa with sambar or chutney.
