Lacha Pakora is one quick fix Iftar special snack in this Ramadan season. With potato as the main ingredient, the pakoras go best with a dollop of coriander chutney. Go for it!
Ingredients
3 potatoes
2 green chillies
A bunch of coriander leaves
½ teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
2 tablespoon maida
2 tablespoon cornflour
Salt
Oil
For chutney
1 cup coriander leaves
1 small piece of ginger
1 clove of garlic
2 green chillies
1½ tablespoon curds
¼ black salt
¼ jeera powder
Salt
Preparation
Clean and peel the potatoes
Slice them lengthwise into a pan of water.
Rinse well and drain out the water
Rub in some salt and drop the potato in cold water. Set aside for ten minutes
Wash well and rain out the water
Add in salt, chopped green chillies, coriander leaves, ginger-garlic paste, maida and cornflour
Mix thoroughly
Heat oil over a moderate flame and drop in the pakora mix
Fry well and drain out the pakoras when their sides turn brown
Blend all the ingredients for the chutney in a mixie and serve along with the pakoras.
