Ingredients
30 gulan jamun balls
100 gm sago pearls
100 gm sugar
½ liter milk
3 tsp condensed milk
2 cardamom pods
2 tsp ghee
Cashews as required
Raisins as required
Preparation
Prepare the gulab jamun balls in advance
Soak the sago pearls in water for at least 2 hours
Cook the soaked sago pearls and keep them aside to be used later
Heat ghee in a thick bottomed vessel
Fry the cashes and raisins
Keep them aside
Add the milk and sugar into the same vessel
Mix and stir well until it reduces a bit
Now add the cooked sago pearls
Add the gulab jamun balls as well
Mix well
Add the condensed milk and cardamom powder when the payasam thickens up
Mix well and take it off the flame
Garnish with fried cashews and raisins.
