Ingredients
1 cup gram flour
½ cup rice flour
1 tsp chilli powder
½ tsp pepper powder
½ tsp asafetida powder
1 tbsp butter
Salt as required
Palm full of curry leaves
Water as required
Preparation
Into a bowl add the gram flour, rice flour, chilli powder, pepper powder, asafetida, salt and butter
Mix well
Pour some water and mix into a sticky batter (like idiyappam batter)
Fill the sevanaazhi (mould) with this batter
Press the batter in circular motion into hot oil
Fry until the pakkavada is golden brown in colour
Cut into small pieces after the pakkavada has cooled down
Fry some curry leaves and mix with the pakkavada.
