Ingredients
500 gms chicken
4 bulbs Malabar tamarind
3 tbsp ginger (crushed)
3 tbsp garlic (crushed)
2 green chillies
4 shallots (crushed)
2 tbsp chilli powder
¾ tbsp coriander powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp black pepper powder
Curry leaves
Salt as required
Water as required
3 tbsp coconut oil

Preparation
Heat coconut oil in an earthen chatty and sauté he crushes ginger, garlic, green chillies and shallots
Into it add the coriander powder, chilli powder, black pepper powder, turmeric powder and salt as required
Sauté until the raw smell of these powders are gone
Pour in some water
Add washed bulbs of Malabar tamarind and allow the gravy to boil well
Now add the chicken pieces and cook with the lid on
Garnish with curry leaves and take it off the flame.
