Ingredients
3 pomfret fish
½ cup vinegar
12 red chillies (dried)
8 peppercorns
12 garlic cloves
3 cloves
¼ inch stick cinnamon
½ tsp cumin seeds
½ tsp sugar
½ inch piece tamarind
Salt, to taste
Oil to fry
Preparation
Wash and clean the pomfret and keep aside. With a sharp knife slit the fish on both sides along the bone to create a pocket. Apply salt all over and keep aside
Grind the red chillies, peppercorns, garlic cloves cinnamon, cumin seeds, sugar, tamarind and salt along with vinegar to a fine paste.
Now stuff this masala in the pomfret, outside and inside, evenly on all sides.
Heat oil in a frying pan and shallow fry the fish
