A Portuguese-style layered biscuit pudding for a simple and sweet treat!

The Serradura is essentially a Portuguese dessert that is made with simple ingredients with no elaborate procedures. The Goan kitchens adopted the dish, making it one of the most sought after dishes in the tourist state.

Ingredients
200gm Marie biscuits
400gm condensed milk
200ml thick cream
2 tsp butterscotch essence
3 tbsp butter, melted
10 almonds, chopped

Preparation
Crush the biscuits in to small pieces and divide it into three portions
Blend the condensed milk and cream well together. Add the butterscotch essence into this mixture and divide it into three portions
Grease a one and a half litre capacity glass bowl with the melted butter
First add one layer of crushed biscuits at the bottom of the bowl
Then pour one portion of the condensed milk-cream mixture over it
Repeat the layers two times
Decorate the top with chopped almonds, cover and place the bowl in a freezer for 60 minutes to set
Half an hour before serving, remove the bowl from the freezer and leave to stand at room temperature to obtain a soft and creamy texture
