China grass or agar agar is a favorite ingredient for pudding lovers across the world. Like gelatin, agar agar helps giving the pudding a jiggly and glossy effect. Mixing it with squishy cooked sago balls would make the softest and cutest desserts ever. Here we give you the recipe for an easy green sago china grass pudding for this festival treat.
Ingredients
1/2 cup sago
10 gm china grass (agar agar)
2 cups of milk
1 cup condensed milk
5 tbsp sugar
1 drop green food coloring
1 cup thick coconut milk
1 cup melted jaggery
Preparation
Boil sago in two cups of water and drain it
Heat two cups of water and add china grass to it to melt them
Pour milk, condensed milk and sugar to a pan and heat it
Add melted china grass to it and stir well
Add green food coloring to it and sieve this mixture and set aside in a mold
When this mixture is partially set, add cooked sago to it and refrigerate till set
Garnish it with sago, coconut milk and melted jaggery
Serve chilled
