An easy weekend dinner recipe

Stir fried goodies are easy to whip up, making it a bachelor kitchen staple. Be it veggies, mushrooms, or meat, stir frying is the easiest way to make them raw to toothsome, real quick. To make things even better, pair up sliced beef with mushrooms and throw in some soy sauce. Voila! You have got a truly delicious Chinese side dish to go with rice or roti.

Ingredients
250 gm beef, sliced and without fat
1/4 tsp mixed spice powder
3 cloves garlic, sliced
1/2 tsp ginger, grated
Salt as required
3 tbsp oil
2 medium onions sliced in cubes
8 button mushrooms, sliced
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp sugar
3/4 cup stock
1 cup water
2 tsp corn flour mixed in 1 tbsp water

2 tbsp spring onion chopped, to garnish

Preparation
Marinate beef in a mixture of spice powder, salt,  garlic slices, and grated ginger
Heat oil in a pan
Saute onion and mushroom for a couple of minutes
Add beef to this and saute it till beef changes color
Add soy sauce, sugar and stock to this and cook
Pour water as required
Add corn flour mixture and stir well
Cook for few minutes and then turn off the stove
Garnish with spring onion and serve
