1 kg tender beef
1 small tsp pepper powder
1½ tsp wooster sauce
1½ tsp soy sauce
1½ tsp vinegar
Salt, as required
3 medium potatoes
3 tender carrot
½ cup refined oil
3 medium tomatoes
4 medium, onions chopped in ringlets
½ inch cinnamon
1 tbsp finely chopped pudina leaves
Preparation
Cut the meat into big pieces and spread it evenly by beating it with an iron hammer
Marinate the meat pieces with pepper powder, Wooster sauce, soya sauce, vinegar and salt. Keep it aside for an hour
Take potatoes and peel off the skin. Cut it into 4 halves. Similarly, remove skin of the carrot and cut it in small half inch rounds. Boil the potatoes and carrots in water for some time
Take a pan and heat oil in it. Add the potatoes and carrots and fry them
Take them out, add the tomatoes that are split into 2 halves. Fry this for 2 minutes
Pour the left over oil into the pressure cooker. Take one half of the chopped onion and sauté well in the cooker for 3 minutes. Remove it from the cooker and keep it along with the other vegetables that are slightly fried
Add the left over onions to the oil again. Saute well till it becomes golden brown in colour
Now, add cinnamon and let it roast
Add marinated beef into this
Mix it well, but slowly. Let it cook for sometime in low flame
In the meantime, take a big tsp sugar and 3 big teaspoon water. Mix it well and boil it till it gets caramelized
When it becomes light brown and thick like a sauce, add this to the cooked beef and blend well
Place the cooked beef on a flat plate and garnish it with the fried vegetables
If the meat is not cooked, you can add one cup hot water and let it cook for some more time
