No Indian festival is complete unless there is some halwa. There are umpteen varieties of halwas around including the ones made from common fruits. Halwas are the best way to please your entire family, from grandparents to kids. It is also the easiest sweet snack that you can serve for an unexpected guest.

Ingredients
1 kg banana
4 tsp maida
1 cup ghee
½ kg sugar
½ cup water
¼ cup lemon juice
½ tsp cardamom powder
½ cup split cashew nuts

Preparation
Add ½ cup water to the maida and make it to a batter
Boil the bananas
Grind the cooked bananas after removing the fiber and grain
Melt the sugar in a pan and add add lemon juice to it
Keep the pan on the stove till the mix thickens, stir well
Add the ground banana to the pan and keep stirring
When it starts to boil, pour the batter to the pan and stir
Keep on stirring and add ghee little by little
When it thickens, add cardamom powder and cashew nuts, stir well
Remove from stove when it hardens
Pour the mix into a bowl glazed with butter
Place the remaining cashew nuts over it
