Ingredients
For the filling
2 onions chopped
2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
Salt, as required
1/2 tsp fennel powder
1 tsp garam masala
2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
3 green chilies, sliced
2 tbsp coriander leaves
2 sprig curry leaves
1 cup minced beef, cooked with salt
For pathiri
2 cups of kneaded maida
2 eggs
1 tsp cardamom powder
1 tsp sugar
Oil, as required
Preparation
For the filling
Heat oil in a pan
Add onions and saute well
Add green chilies, ginger-garlic paste and mix well
Add chili powder, fennel powder and turmeric powder mix well
Add salt as required
When the raw smell leaves the pan, add the minced meat and mix well
Add coriander and curry leaves
Saute for two more minutes
Turn off the stove and set aside
For pathiri
Knead maida using hot water and salt
Roll them into lemon sized balls
Flatten them using a rolling pin
Cut the edges to make them fine rounds
Spoon in some filling over one pathiri
Cover it with another pathiri
Lock the edges together using finger tips
Heat oil in a pan
Shallow fry the stuffed pathiris and set aside
Beat eggs, sugar and cardamom powder together in a bowl
DIp the shallow-fried pathiris in this egg mixture
Fry them again
Serve as a tea-time snack
