Give a twist to your regular ghee rice with dates, raisins and nuts.
Ingredients
2 cups of basmati rice
2 cloves
2 cardamom
2 pieces of cinnamon
2 tbsp ghee
3 onions sliced
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup cashew nuts split
1/2 cup chopped dates
A handful of coriander leaves chopped
1 drop of biryani essence (if required)
Preparation
Cook basmati rice along with cloves, cardamom and cinnamon. Strain off excess water
Heat ghee in a pan and fry the sliced onion until they turn crispy
In the same ghee, saute the raisins
Add almonds to this and saute again
Add cashew nuts to it and saute it as well
Finally, add chopped dates to the pan and saute again
Add rice to this and mix well
Sprinkle coriander leaves and biryani essence over it and serve
