Tomatoes are used as a main ingredient in most Indian dishes. Here are some tips to store tomatoes and other easily perishable veggies for a longer period so that you could use them whenever you want:
• Wash the tomatoes and keep them in a plate remove excess water.
• Place the tomatoes, stalk side down, in a clean and dry plastic container. Close the lid and keep it in the fridge.
• While storing small pieces of wax gourd or cucumber in fridge, wrap the surface using an aluminium foil so that it won’t be stained.
