'Theliveyil' song of 'Maheshinte Prathikaaram' is love in times of death

Maheshinte Prathikaaram, debut directorial of Dileesh Pothan, has been inviting attention from all for its offbeat title. The teaser of the Malayalam movie collected loud laughter with Fahadh Faasil, Soubin Shahir and Anusree hitting it off with the audiences. The video of the 'Idukki song' followed suit and was widely appreciated for its candid portrayal of the scenic district.

And now, the video song 'Theliveyil' is drawing in admiration for its 'love in the times of death' scenario. We've seen one too many celluloid childhood loves rekindled at various stages of their lives, and at different places. But in here, all bets are off with Fahadh and Anusree making eyes at each other at a funeral, when the pall of gloom fizzles out slowly in the purview of romance.

Both Fahadh and Anusree excel in the song; a teary-eyed Anusree throws a sideways glance at photographer Fahadh, who's trying to capture the damsel in distress on his camera. Alencier Ley Lopez and Jaffer Idukki prove to be masters in this game of hide and seek as well.

Kudos to the brains behind this song, set to tune by Bijibal, sung by Sangeetha Sreekanth and Sudeep Kumar, for picking out the nuances of revived love before it 'expired'.
