Legendary music composer Ilaiyaraaja praised the musical talent of the Malayali community and said at least one person in every home in Kerala is a music composer. “I think, this is why people don't call me to Malayalam cinema. Every house has at least one music composer. They are already making music there. I am willing to compose in Mollywood again, if they invite me there,” said Ilaiyaraaja. He was interacting with the media at the Sharjah International Book Fair held on Friday. The celebrated music composer said he has no special message to upcoming music directors as everyone needs to find their own path.
“They have already found their way and are going forward in that path. Now, let them prove their ability,” Ilaiyaraaja said.
Ilaiyaraaja attended the 43rd edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair held at the Expo Centre. An interactive session titled ‘The Journey of a legendary Musician – Ilaiyaraaja’s Musical Journey’ was held from 8.30 pm to 10.30 pm on Friday. The iconic musician spoke about his illustrative musical career spanning fifty years.
