Music director and actor G V Prakash and wife-singer Saindhavi have mutually decided to part ways after 11 years of marriage. The actor issued a statement on social media, announcing their decision. Prakash also sought fans and media to respect the couple's privacy during this phase of their lives.
"After much reflection, Saindhavi and I have decided to part ways after 11 years of marriage. For the sake of our mental peace and betterment while preserving our mutual respect for each other. We kindly ask media, friends and fans to understand and respect our privacy during this deeply personnel transition. Acknowledging that we are growing apart, we believe this is the best decision for each other. Your understanding and support means a lot during this difficult time, Thankyou,” he wrote.
G V Prakash was last seen in the Tamil political action drama 'Rebel' featuring Tamilian students who are ragged at a college in Kerala. He also was paired opposite Aishwarya Rajesh in the film 'DeAr'. Prakash entered the film industry as a vocalist with S Shankar's film 'Gentleman'. He made a striking debut as a music composer with the film 'Veyil' directed by Vasanthabalan, followed by a couple of superhit songs. He married his childhood sweetheart and playback singer Saindhavi in 2013, after courting her for several years. They also have a daughter.
