'You have no concern for musicians or their instruments.' Singer Benny Dayal slams airlines

Playback singer Benny Dayal has slammed various Indian airlines, including Vistara and Indigo for mishandling instruments belonging to musicians who travel across the country for concerts. Taking to Instagram, the singer addressed various airlines in India, accusing them of being careless with music instruments.

“A simple message to airlines in India. Musicians work very hard to make money. That depends on how their music instruments are handled by you when they travel across the country for various shows. Vistara, Indigo, Air India and Spice Jet have zero love or care or concern for musicians' instruments. I have been seeing people sharing videos of their broken instruments. You have shown zero accountability for you actions. This is totally unacceptable,” said the singer who is known for his hit numbers in Bollywood and South Indian cinema.

The singer also shared his personal experience while flying with Vistara. “You guys owe me two bags. You broke two of my bags in a gap of seven days. I still need my bags. I'm sorry to say, but your service sucks,” said the singer on Instagram.

He also addressed the Indigo carrier accusing them of having no care for musicians and their feelings. “You don't brief your luggage handling team correctly, because of which musicians instruments are broken by the time they reach another city for their concerts,” he said.

He appealed to the ground staff of the various airlines to be careful while handling people's instruments. “We need our instruments as it is what feeds us. It pays our food. Did you understand?,” the singer asks.

Further naming the carriers, he said no one is good at handling instruments of musicians. “You know it is group checking and they are compromising everything when they travel, so please be accountable for your mistakes and don't make us look like fools and run around,” he urged.

Meanwhile, Vistara responded to the post saying they are very concerned to hear about the musician's experience and requested him to provide a convenient time for them to discuss the matter. However, his wife Catherine hit back at the airlines, saying the comment was useless.

Recently, Sufi singer Bismil slammed Indigo for treating his luggage like trash. He also shared a video of the staff 'throwing his musical instrument'. The video, has since then gone viral.
