Mollywood actor Neeraj Madhav who made his debut in Tamil with Gautham Menon's latest release 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' has revealed that he has also rapped a verse in the movie, in collaboration with legendary musician A R Rahman.
The actor took to social media to share his happiness, calling it a 'fanboy moment'. “Yes, I wrote & sang for A R Rehman !!! Manifest, and dreams do come true !”, he wrote.
According to him, he was asked to rap the Malayalam verse after A R Rahman heard him sing a verse dedicated to him at the audio launch of the film.
“I was trying so hard to keep this to myself, those who watched # Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu would already know, but now I can tell the world ! During my speech at #VTK audio launch I happened to sing a verse dedicated to @arrahman in front of him. The next thing I know I’m sitting with the legend himself in his studio and making this track ! True fanboy moment ! ‘Venth Thaninthath Kaadu’ in theatres now. My Tamil debut as an actor & a rapper,” he further wrote.
Neeraj Madhav plays a pivotal role in the film which is a gangster drama. The movie hit theatres on September 15. The Malayalam rap is played during a prominent action scene in the film.
