Pop sensation BTS and their humongous fanbase ARMY is known for being “extra”. This time, the latter pulled something extraordinary to celebrate the birthday of their favourite manggae.

The fanbase gifted the South Korean boyband the first two slots of the latest US Billboard Hot 100 chart on setting a new milestone. BTS' first English single Dynamite, which topped the BB Hot 100 charts twice, maintained its No 2 position for one more week while Savage Love, the group's collab with Jason Derulo and Jawsch 685 became No 1.

This is the first time in 11 years that a group or an artist secures the No.1 and No. 2 slots the same time. The last time it happened was in 2009 when Black Eyed Peas topped the charts with their legendary tracks Boom Boom Pow and I Gotta Feeling.

The list came out the night before the 25th birthday of Park Jimin, a lead vocalist, main dancer and official angel of the seven-member boyband.

Fans across the world has launched several project and social drives to celebrate their favourite idol's birthday at the same time hogging billboards and advertisement display screens across the world. Seoul, the capital of S Korea had been adorned with the pictures and birthday wishes for the artist turning it to a little “Jiminnieland”.

Of course it is no one way street. The birthday boy has fed his fans well the day before with a stellar performance of his single Filter at the group's latest online concert last weekend. The suave choreography paired with the caramel like vocals from the artist left fans craving for more. Jimin, who is a trained contemporary dancer, also did a stunning dancebreak for the team's Black Swan  performance during the concert.

Since its 2013 debut, BTS has spearheaded a global K-Pop craze with catchy, upbeat music and dances, as well as lyrics and social campaigns aimed at empowering young people.

Meanwhile, Kpop band Blackpink also secured their first ever No. 1 in the Billboard Global Excl. US chart with their recent release Lovesick Girls, becoming the first Korean girl group to do so.
