Sreehari won 'Super 4' despite a sore throat

Thrissur native Sreehari, who was adjudged as the winner of the music reality show Super 4, has made his way into the league of talented young singers in Malayalam. The young vocalist has amazed the judges and the audience alike with his scintillating performances in the grand finale.

While everyone applauded as Vidyadharan master announced Sreehari’s name as the winner of the reality show aired on Mazhavil Manorama, there was one person who broke down. Sreehari’s mother couldn’t control her tears while his father looked stunned.

After all the jubilation set down, veteran singer Sujatha, revealed a secret. “Now that Sreehari has been declared the winner of Super 4, I am revealing a secret. He has been suffering from a sore throat for the last two days. He was worried whether he would be able to perform well. I have never seen him upset like that. However, it didn’t affect his performance at all and he did well. Sreehari is someone who has the blessings of God in abundance,” Sujatha said.

Sreehari entered the finale of the popular reality show after giving some amazing performances. The competition was a close one as all the finalists performed incredibly on the grand finale. An interesting fact is that the first runner-up Vysakhan had been neck to neck with Sreehari in the final scores. Sreehari was given 55.59 marks by the judges while Vysakhan’s score was 55.31.

Noted composer Deepak Dev who was also a judge said that he was stunned to see the marks received by the finalists. Meanwhile, Shareth said that it was Sreehari who received God’s grace a tad bit more that day. Shaan and Alphons noted that Sreehari has once again proved that he was an excellent singer.

The winner Sreehari told that he was grateful to all those who supported him. He said, “There are many who encouraged me. I alone am not the winner, but all 16 of us are.”

The contestants bid adieu to their favourite stage by promising to return for the next season of Super 4.
