The songs from the latest Jayaram-starrer Panchavarnathatha, composed by ace music composer M Jayachandran have topped the hit chart.
Sharing the recording video of the song 'Pokayay Doore Doore...', sung by legendary singer Dr K J Yesudas, Jayachandran wrote on his Facebook page, "My eyes got wet recording this song with Yesudas sir for the film Panchavarnathatha directed by our own Ramesh Pisharody. The lyrics by Santhosh Varma touched my heart when I composed the song… There has been none like Yesudas sir and there will be none like him too.. Greatness…beyond words."
Panchavarnathatha is the directorial debut of noted comedian and TV presenter Ramesh Pisharody. The screenplay of the movie is penned jointly by the director himself and lyricist Hari P Nair. Panchavarnathatha is financed by actor Maniyanpilla Raju.
Apart from M Jayachandran, actor–director Nadirsha too has composed the music of one of the songs in the movie. Another song composed by Jayachandran, sung by veteran singer MG Sreekumar, too was a hit on the social media.
