Actor Meera Jasmine who has charmed the Kerala audience with some of her unforgettable performances is all set to return to the silver screen after a break. Meera said, in Dubai, that she has decided to be active in films again. She added that it was a blessing to associate with veteran filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad for her comeback movie.
The actor is making a comeback opposite Jayaram in the untitled film. She hopes that this movie would be a great opening for her as she returns to Malayalam cinema.
The actor was speaking to the press after receiving UAE’s golden visa. Meera said that receiving the golden visa was an important event in her life and that she was extremely proud of it.
“I am really happy to hear that the audience is excited for my return. That is what inspires me. I had stayed away from the movies for some time. However, I will, now, be in the industry with good movies. I am glad that I am working again with Sathyan uncle. This is our fifth movie together,” said Meera.
“Today, there are countless platforms for Malayalam cinema. Even Bollywood looks up to Malayalam cinema. Malayalee audience are very intelligent. So, we should say thanks to them. Do not compare the new project with Achuvinte Amma or Rasathanthram. It is indeed a typical Sathyan Anthikad movie and I play an amazing character. I hope that this movie would be a great opening for me in my second innings. I wish that good characters and movies come my way,” notes Meera.
Meera Jasmine was last seen in a major role in Pathu Kalpanakal that was released in 2016. She did a cameo appearance, in 2018, in the campus movie Poomaram.
