It's been a while that Shruti Haasan was seen on the big screen. In her recent interview with actress Lakshmi Manchu on her Telugu talk show Feet Up with the Stars, Shruti opened up about staying away from work, her break up and alchohol addiction.
When asked her about her break-up with boyfriend Michael Corsale, the actress revealed that she was the cool type unlike people who would boss around her. She was very innocent and a very emotional person that's why they could take over. She opined that being in a relationship was a good experience for her.
She also revealed that post then, she had a drinking addiction and it took some time for her to heal herself. She said that she was a big-time whiskey lover. “I don’t drink anymore. It’s been two years. Personally, I live a sober life now”. Shruti has also given up coffee, she said.
Talking about her career, Shruti said, “In my career too I felt I was doing the same kind of roles. I felt it was time (I took a break). I wanted to re-establish my connect with my audience. I stopped caring about what people were saying. I had to figure it all out. I took a one year break.”
Her last release was in 2017 Behen Hogi Teri in Bollywood and was also seen in Singam 3 with Suriya.
Currently, she has Mahesh Manjrekar’s Power in Hindi and Laabam in Tamil with Vijay Sethupathi.
Shruti is the daughter of actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakur and actress Akshara Haasan is her younger sister.
